From a Horns set, the Dream like to get into the Flex
offense. In the diagram on the left, #1 enters the
ball to #5 and comes off of #4's back screen with a UCLA cut
looking for the ball.
If #1 does not get the ball, #1 will back screen #2 who
makes a flex cut. #4 will then set a down screen for
#1 to complete the screen-the-screener action.
Baseline inbounds play. #3 pops to the corner and
catches from #2 on the inbounds pass. #1 pops to the
ball-side slot and #5 dives to the middle of the lane.
When #1 gets the ball, #4 will pop from the help-side corner
to the help-side slot to get open. When #4 catches, #5
posts up on the low block on #4's side.
From a Horns set, #1 enters to #4 and comes off of #5's
flare screen. #4 can either hit #2 on the backdoor or
hit #1 coming off of the flare screen.
Another play from a Horns set. #1 dribbles to the wing
and awaits the ball screen from #4 to set up a pick and pop.
Meanwhile #5 dives to the basket.
Middle ball screen against a 2-3 zone defense. #1
dribbles to the wing and #5 sets the screen on the ball-side
guard in the zone. #1 comes off of the ball screen and
#5 rolls to the basket once #1 clears.
